Since graduating school, I’ve been working in the outdoor industry repairing technical outdoor gear. It’s not the same as the art-making I was doing in the studio, but it, like everything, is connected. Sewing and repairs are an equally conceptually rich part of what my art practice looks like these days, and I’ve fallen in love with the problem solving process of fixing - which is generous, playful, and downright practical.
